1st Dance Class – Editorial Photography

To discover through the eyes of a child… I often wish I could be there again! First steps, first words, first birthday, first fall, first everything. Imagine being in a dance class for the very first time and they tell you mommy or daddy can’t stay because it’s for kids only! As a photographer first, but also, a dance teacher since I was 15 years old, I have been ” Miss Julie – their first dance teacher” many times. It is a privilege and an honor to influence and help a child grow..in every sense of the word. I asked Joelle to come to my dance class and take a few photos so I could remember forever how great it feels like to make a difference :)

In Studio Ottawa Family Photography

Photography is all about emotion, love feelings. Looking at a picture brings the people you love alive in your heart. Mom and her two twin boys were photographed in our studio. We chose a classic setting to bring out the facial features and give the portraits a timeless look. Ottawa Family Photographer “On location” in St Lucia, Caribbean Islands

Cruising in the caribbean ocean can be the best vacation ever, especially if you are a photographer and are commissioned to photograph a destination wedding! Well, for Joelle, it did not stop there, she had to keep shooting. Gillian, Steve and and little Noah were part of the wedding party and took this opportunity to have their photo’s done in St Lucia. They asked a cab driver to bring them to a quiet beach with a lot of mature vegetation that provide a lot of shade…..mmmm, they ended up at the busiest beach with absolutely no shade Well, the biggest challenge for a photographer is lighting. Early afternoon is not easy, but, we have to find ways to make every “on location” session work …and make it back to the ship on time:) Great job Jo!

Ottawa Studio Family Photography

Mrs. Michaud and her two girls were funny, relaxed and very READY for their photography session. We photographed her oldest daughter Savanna when she was 16. Her photos were stunning, so stunning that we entered her close-up glamour image in photography competitions ( Professional Photographers of Canada and Ontario) . Now, it’s the girls that just want to have fun and have beautiful souvenirs. We love photographing this type of session because we can have fun and still get the job done. I have to say the funniest moments of the photo session was when Miki started giggling….and could not stop…ever:)
