Grandma Gert is ready to celebrate her 93 rd birthday very soon ! She still passes on her words of wisdom to her children, grand children and great grand children. What an accomplishment to have lived , loved and been loved for almost a century. Her laughter is contagious, her stories are of the good old days and her remarks are still as witty as always. She does not stop to amaze us. It is one thing to photograph a senior in our studio with controlled lighting, but, for me, the beauty is when the photograph tells a story….and this one does that for me.
A three year old child looking into her future as a great grandma passes on her wisdom in admiration. To top it of, and old painting of her when she was in her prime as the N.B. Lieutenant Goveneur’s wife.
It’s the circle of life.
As the mother of a 3 year old child, I can only hope that the path my daughter will choose will be as rewarding as the path my grandmother chose to walk .
