Beautiful Justine is our co-op student from Ecole Secondaire Gisele Lalonde in Orleans. She is great in every way. To thank her for doing such a good job and having wonderful work ethics, Joelle offered her a photo shoot. (To become a photographer, you have to learn to be in front of the camera as much as being behind it). This photo session was taken on location at a Stable.

Organizing a family portrait can be a challenge. Sometimes, they are long in the making…just like The “Morin” family that called us more then a year before we did this session. All it takes is a little planning 
. We could not be happier with this session. Their choice of colors and style match beautifully with the pond decor. A session always has 3 scenarios included; The extended family, the immediate family and the grand-parents (couple or individual). We can also add sub-groups like in this case, of every individual family and their children. Have a look!
We already have family bookings for next year. If you have a get together, or a family reunion planned and you would like family photos, it’s not to early to book for next year. Our Cumberland outdoor studio and pond can provide a beautiful background with controlled lighting even on sunny days. On top of this, we don’t need a plan “B” because our new indoor studio is a few feet away, and, it can accommodate large groups up to 40 people. Studio G. R. Martin is a family portrait studio. That is what we are known for and that is what Guy loves to do. When Guy decides to build or design a new background, it is always with family photography in mind. We are so proud of our outdoor studio. The response this year has been overwhelming. So many families requested our new outdoor studio. We still can’t get enough of photographing there. Every session, we find a different angle or discover a new spot at that time of day where the light is wonderful. We are natural light seekers, all our images revolve on finding that light. When Trina called us to do their family photos again, I were so happy. I remembered the eyes….they have the most beautiful eyes. When we did the girls photos, the directional light ( achieved from being tucked away under trees) brought out their facial features and made the color of their eyes “pop”. These wall montages are a great way to display multiple prints on your wall. They are usually 5×7 or 6×8 images with a 3 inch mat. The final size ranges between 12 x 26 to 14 x 30. We then mount, laminate and texture them for a beautiful rich finish and UV protection. Guy helps the clients choose the frame that will complete this photography wall art and no glass is needed.
This is a preview of a book we are designing for our new “Lifestyle family portrait sessions”. They include a two hour minimum photo session in our studio or at the location of your choice and a large 40 page coffee table book. These books tell a story, a little like this one we are creating. It’s the story of ” a day in the life of a three year old”. Our goal is to capture your child’s many expressions and true personality in a series of events and playtime. A consultation is a must to make this story telling book a success. Stay tuned for highlights of this finished book in a few weeks!

Caroline and her kids were a joy to photograph. We went in their backyard and our mission was simple; it’s all about the moment….not the pose. Sometimes a great image doesn’t have to be all perfectly poses. In this case, we were matching a photo her husband had done 10 years ago with his 2 children. This choice of clothes matches this sepia image very well. Consultations are the key to a successful portrait photo session!
