Hummingbird MediSpa launched their calendar recently and we had the honor of doing most of the photography. The girls in the calendar are not professional models, they are employees from the spa. In any photo shoot we do, our job is to make you feel and look good when we take your portrait. Most of our clients don’t have modeling experience and it is up to us to guide them and pose them in ways that compliment all body types. This project was photographed throughout the 2009 year at our Estate studio in Cumberland, Ontario and at our Youville drive studio in Orleans. The calendar is available for purchase at their 6 Hummingbird locations in Ottawa and proceeds will go to various charities in Ottawa. We chose a classic setting to bring out the facial features and give the portraits a timeless look. Cruising in the caribbean ocean can be the best vacation ever, especially if you are a photographer and are commissioned to photograph a destination wedding! Well, for Joelle, it did not stop there, she had to keep shooting. Gillian, Steve and and little Noah were part of the wedding party and took this opportunity to have their photo’s done in St Lucia. They asked a cab driver to bring them to a quiet beach with a lot of mature vegetation that provide a lot of shade…..mmmm, they ended up at the busiest beach with absolutely no shade 
Well, the biggest challenge for a photographer is lighting. Early afternoon is not easy, but, we have to find ways to make every “on location” session work …and make it back to the ship on time:) Great job Jo!

Mrs. Michaud and her two girls were funny, relaxed and very READY for their photography session. We photographed her oldest daughter Savanna when she was 16. Her photos were stunning, so stunning that we entered her close-up glamour image in photography competitions ( Professional Photographers of Canada and Ontario) . Now, it’s the girls that just want to have fun and have beautiful souvenirs. We love photographing this type of session because we can have fun and still get the job done. I have to say the funniest moments of the photo session was when Miki started giggling….and could not stop…ever:)
