Cottage and back yard weddings are on the rise in the Ottawa – Outaouais regions. We are commissioned to photograph more and more relax style cocktail, back yard and cottage weddings. The relax/ no stress atmosphere is in high demand by todays modern couples. If photography is important on your wedding day as much as being with your guests for the cocktail time, then, this type of wedding is perfect for you. There is no traveling time for the photography session, no need to rent expensive cars and limousines and you have more time with your guests. Just make sure you have a tent, we all know what the weather can be like in Ontario…. Let’s just say, Lise-Anne and Michelle were so lucky . It was raining for days before the wedding ( Michelle has devoted parents that stayed up in the middle of the night to save the tent from collapsing under the torrential downpour. It was pouring rain the morning of their wedding, then, by early afternoon, the rain stopped. To top it off, during the outdoors ceremony, the sun came out just as the singer sang the lyrics” I see skies of blue, and clouds of white” from ” What a wonderful world”. It put a smile on everyones face. The photos were all done outside and we were blessed with a few rainbows just as we were doing the couple’s photos. How lucky is that. Stories of the wedding day and of the behind the scene events will be talked about in their families forever
