MEGAN & DON – Le Belvédère Wedding

Like many couples, Megan & Don’s wedding plans were impacted by Covid19 but postponing to next summer wasn’t an option! Their goal of being united was the priority and with it came their willingness to adjust their expectations.

They initially had their hearts set on a early summer wedding at the Belvedere in Wakefield, QC but they quickly realized that their wedding would require being slightly postponed to the early fall of 2020. Lucky for them, they managed to secure a back up date with the Belvédère in September 2020.

Megan got ready in the Garden House which is foot steps away from the Belvédère’s main wedding venue. This beautiful light and airy home features an abundant of natural light, along with makeup and hair stations, a fully equipped kitchen and a large cozy living room. Don opted to get ready in the main cottage on site, which is equally as beautiful and a pleasure to photograph. Another great thing about Le Belvédère is they are constantly updating their facilities and transforming them in to photo-friendly environments. To our surprise, the main cottage’s furniture had all been updated and everything looked great. The consistency in style and ambiance between their different facilities makes for a cohesive look throughout the wedding day. It is always a joy for us to capture our couple’s Belvédère weddings! We love challenging ourselves to discover new angles and photo opportunities, making sure we offer every couple a unique wedding day photography coverage.

Their ceremony was held outside, featuring the classic Le Belvédère view and amenities and the guests cried, cheered and smiled with joy as Megan and Don tied the knot. Social distancing was full effect, tears of joy were shed, words of wisdom and love were shared, masks were worn; a true 2020 pandemic wedding!

As we all adjust to the new “normal”, Megan and Don’s wedding is a perfect example that having a pandemic wedding doesn’t mean compromising on picture perfect!
