It all started at the House of Barons, where the groom and his groomsmen got a clean shave. Since high school, the groom has worked at the Westin hotel. It was a perfect fit that both, the bride and groom got ready there. Alex found her dress at Kleinfeld in Toronto. She looked absolutely stunning! The couple’s first look was photographed at the locks close to the National Art Centre. We were blessed to have an energetic, fun and beautiful couple, a most amazing wedding party and great positive energy to make the photo session fun! The ceremony was held at the Eighteen restaurant on York Street in Ottawa and the intimate ceremony was performed by a friend. A cocktail style reception following the ceremony was held at the same venue and the bride and groom got to enjoy every minute of it with their guests. First looks are becoming more and more popular. That recipe makes the bride and groom totally stress free to enjoy every minute of the cocktail and reception! To Alex and Pat! Congratulations! Your wedding was a blast!

Melissa & Jean-Francois- Ottawa Spring Wedding Photography
Here’s a look at a beautiful spring wedding. Yes, we are a little behind on posting the weddings we photographed this year, but, 8 hours behind the camera is about 30 to 40 hours behind the computor. When we produce our wedding albums, we spend a lot of times to do it right. We are in the process of designing Melissa and Jean-Francois’s wedding album right now, so I wanted to post some of our favorite images. Mel is a hair dresser in Orleans, so it was very appropriate to start in her hair salon. The girls were funny, pumped up for the day and we had a blast!
We then went to the grooms parents home and to Mel’s parents home for the morning sessions.
The ceremony was in Rockland at Tres Sainte Trinite church. The church is beautiful to photograph and we love to use the grounds around the church for extra photos.
It is so motivating to photograph a wedding when the couple is so beautiful and ready to do lot’s of different poses! The rain did not put a damper on the day at all!
We were 10 minutes from our portrait studio in Cumberland, and , because of the rain, this seemed like a great place to go to for family and wedding party photos.
We went back to the River Rock INN in Rockland for the reception. The room was beautifully decorated and the official entrance of the couple was a show stopper. What a great wedding day! Mel and J-F are perfect for each other. We wish them all the happiness and a great life together… Can’t wait to photograph their kids 🙂
