Elegance, beauty and class in an organic country setting… This sums up Isabelle and Scott’s wedding pretty well. The museum is located on a 100-acre site in the Village of Cumberland and is home to a small number of livestock in the summer, a working sawmill, forge, carpentry and pump factory, and several other buildings of local historical significance as the schoolhouse, the church and the train station. This museum is an amazing venue for an outdoor wedding, it is only 25 minutes from downtown Ottawa and the scenery and photo opportunity are endless! We started the day with the groom’s coverage at their friend’s home followed by Isabelle’s bridal session at her parents home in Orleans. The ceremony and the reception was held on site at the Cumberland Museum. The ceremony’s location was carefully selected and designed by Stacey Price and Erin Charmichael from The Design Co. in an alley between two rows of majestic trees. It was breathtaking. When the flower petals where set, and Isabelle walked down the aisle, it was a beautiful moment. To view more photos showcasing the details, style and colour scheme from this wedding, visit The Design co‘s website. The weather was perfect, the guests mingled and visited the site while we took the wedding party and family photos. After the cocktail, we all made our way to the outdoor reception area and enjoyed nachos, tacos, pizza’s and salads from a variety of gourmet food trucks chosen by the bride and groom. Everyone partied on till the early morning!!!
