If you are planning a wedding at the Fairmont Chateau Montebello , have a look at this wedding.!!! Annabelle and Ben got married at the gazebo on the East side of the Montebello grounds overlooking the Ottawa River. This was the perfect backdrop for a beautiful dream wedding. Annabelle and Ben came all the way from Miami, Florida to get married at the famous Chateau Montebello. We photographed the groom and his groomsmen first, followed by the bride and bridesmaids. The chateau offers a dramatic style of lighting that works perfectly with the photos we wanted to achieve. The guests made their way to the gazebo while Annabelle and her father, Denis, arrived in style with a horse and carriage. After the ceremony, the guests enjoyed cocktails while we did the family, wedding party and couple photos. The reception was in the Canadian room and, to the couple’s surprise, they were greeted by the wedding party holding hockey sticks above their heads (a tribute to all the NHL hockey players in the room). The live band was amazing and the speeches were heartfelt. A great wedding reception to a perfect wedding day! To Annabelle and Ben: Enjoy your new married life. We wish you all the happiness, health and success you deserve. It was an honour to be a part of your big day!

WONDERFUL TESTIMONIAL REVIEW TO STUDIO G.R. MARTIN FROM ELAINE & JACK
Our wedding day was the Best. Day. Ever.
The only downside? It goes by in the blink of an eye. And long after the vows were said, the speeches toasted and the celebrations over, having professional and experienced wedding photographers like Julie and Guy from Studio G R Martin on board to brilliantly capture the emotions and the joy of our wedding day increased the value of those photographs a thousand times over.
We have driven by their beautiful studio near our home in Cumberland hundreds of times over the years, never realizing what a gem we had in our midst! After my first phone call to Julie, we absolutely clicked…….she is warm, effusive and bubbly and I loved her enthusiasm and energy. I instantly knew we did not need to look further, and a subsequent meeting with Julie and her equally talented husband Guy only confirmed that hunch. They took the time to ask questions, get to know us and fully explain the process so that we knew exactly what to expect.
Our wedding day was absolutely magical in spite of the cool weather; the separately taken pre-wedding photos, shot at their indoor studio, their stunning outdoor landscape, (complete with gorgeous gardens AND a pond!) left both this bride and groom relaxed and happy before the ceremony. This husband and wife team really communicated well throughout each session and kept things moving and consistently on time. We especially appreciated their expert direction and guidance for many of the photos (“turn slightly to the left, chin down, right foot forward”); nothing was left to chance, and their artistic eye for a balanced and beautifully photographed scene is evident throughout their work. They worked respectfully and discreetly in the church, yet captured every important aspect of the ceremony. Everyone at our wedding commented on how much fun our photographers were; I don’t think anyone will ever forget Julie teetering on the very top step of a 6 foot ladder with the grace of a ballerina to capture that all-important group photo outside the church after the wedding. It was just one of the many ways that they demonstrated that day their professionalism and a heartfelt passion for their art.
In the end, the best advice came from my daughter: so much money and effort is spent on a wedding, and to leave the documentation of those precious memories to just anyone could be a sad regret. It was a last minute decision to extend their services well beyond the beginning of the reception, and we are so happy that we did! Julie never sat still…….if there was something going in, Julie was immediately there to capture it. She went above and beyond to seek out moments we hadn’t even thought about. We literally teared up when we first saw our wedding photos; they completely exceeded our expectations, and we have awesome photos of our day, our family and our guests that we truly cherish.
Bravo Julie and Guy…..you are the best! We loved every minute of our wedding day, and we thank you for capturing it so beautifully; we are very proud to share these memories with our family and friends and display them in our home. The many industry awards on display in your studio are well deserved; you made us feel like royalty that day, and we would not hesitate a moment to recommend your services to any bride and groom who wanted to forever recall those magical wedding day memories just as they happened 🙂

RUSTIC BARN WEDDING IN SARSFIELD, ONTARIO – CHARLINE & YVES
We are happy to share photos from Charline and Yves’s September wedding. No travel time was needed because the wedding was all in one location. They invested countless hours in getting their beautiful property ready for their 2014 barn wedding .
This resulted in a totally relaxed atmosphere and a fun “no stress” day for everyone!!! This lovely couple made their dream wedding a reality by doing everything themselves, one step at a time….!!! This DIY bride thought of every single detail! She handmade boutonnieres made out of bullet shells and hand sewn fabric flowers for the bouquets. She even made custom beer bottle openers out of wood and nickels as favors! WOW! Team up Pinterest with Charline’s talent, this girl is now our poster bride for the DIY weddings!
To Charline and Yves, we wish you a lifetime of health, love and happiness!

CHRISTA + JEREMIE’S WEDDING & ENGAGEMENT – OTTAWA-CUMBERLAND
We had the pleasure of photographing this lovely couple as bridesmaid and groomsmen at many of their friend’s weddings, but this time, finally as bride and groom :). Getting to know our clients and developing a great relationship is the key to successful wedding images. Late September is our favorite times to photograph weddings. The vegetation is at its fullest, it’s not to hot, there’s usually a nice breeze and the sun set’s at the perfect time.
Jeremie was ready for his photo session when we arrived at their beautifully renovated home. (If you are looking to renovate your home, Jeremie Dicaire is your guy!!! His custom work and craftsmanship are amazing. The house, the furniture, the lighting and decor were perfect for photos… all the boys looked really handsome. Jeremie was the best model ever!
After the boy’s coverage, we went to Jeremie’s parent’s home in Orleans for Christa’s bridal session. Wow, she was gorgeous. Everything was perfectly laid out for us and the bridesmaids even had matching kimono robes. Christa is a beautiful, generous and kind person that always thinks of others first. Her personality is infectious and everyone just loves being around her.
The ceremony was at the museum of Cumberland. The outdoor setting was perfect and Christa and Jer hand made all the decorations and accessories that made this country wedding look so “chic”. The defining moment of the ceremony was when Jeremie saw Christa for the first time in her wedding dress…there was not one dry eye in the audience. During the ceremony, a big bull made its way close to us and started ” mooooooing” really loud after the exchanging of the vows, kinda saying he approved..lol. After the ceremony, there was a photo opportunity with the bull, we’ll, if you look at the photos in the post below, the bull really liked Christa and especially her bouquet…all in good humor, no one got hurt and it just gave the guests another story to talk about during the family and bridal party photos. Everywhere you looked, there were photo opportunities at the Cumberland museum…it is such a wonderful venue for wedding photographs. The sunflowers were gigantic and we used them as the backdrop for a lot of photos. When we were finishing the couple’s session, the clouds rolled in and it started pouring rain. We only had one series of photos left to do on the museums train track and we convinced the bride to get “a little wet”. We are all so thankful it was such a beautiful sunny day until that moment.
The reception was held at “The Ottawa Hunt and Golf Club”. Christa and Jeremie are surrounded by amazing friends and families. The speeches were so wonderful, emotional and funny, and, to top it off, the wedding party offered a show stopping performance of a ” wedding rap” to the famous fresh prince of Belair music. The maid of honor Avery and Jeremy’s brother and best man Jasmin wrote the lyrics to this hilarious rap about the lovely couple. I could hardly focus because I was laughing so hard…High five to the wedding party, this was the best performance from a wedding party ever !!!…
To Christa and Jer, thank you for trusting us to take your wedding photographs. You two are wonderful, perfect for each other, smart, beautiful, and beyond kind. We wish you the very best !!!

Congratulations Chris Stuewe ! Dancer scores mentorship in L.A.
Here are a few articles on Chris Stuewe’s recent success in the entertainement world….
The dancer sent a video audition and learned earlier this month he was accepted into the program. “This will help him push through,” said his father Doug Stuewe. The young man will be training four hours a day, four days a week with Foglia and have one-on-one sessions with mentors of the dance company some of whom he saw perform in Gatineau on March 22 at the Hit the Floor dance competition. “She’s very versatile, which is something I’ve always strived to be,” said Stuewe of what he wants to focus on the most while training with Foglia.
