Winter Wedding – Nicole & Marc

Here is a look at a beautiful winter wedding photographed on location in Cornwall, Ontario. Everything was done in the bride and grooms home, even the ceremony. The wedding was beautiful, with a lot of personal touches! The bride looked flawless in her dress from McCaffrey Haute Couture. We even took a walk outside for a few winter scene wedding images and everyone had fun and cuddled to keep each other warm !!!

50th anniversary – renewing of vows – M &Mrs Pomerleau

Here is a look at a couple’s 50 th wedding anniversary. M & Mrs Pomerleau celebrated their 50 year mariage by bringing their family for a portrait session at our ourdoor studio in Cumberland. We were blessed with a beautiful summer day ! The kids had a blast feeding the fish, and playing around the pond while we photographed each family. We finished with the couple as their family made their way to the reception for the renewing of their wedding vows. Here is a look at a few highlights of their photo session!

Randa & Ramsey – Wedding at the Hilton Lac Leamy

We had the pleasure and privilage of photographing the Rahal family since the 1990’s. Family and wedding photography is important to them and we are honored to have been there creating memories for them to cherish for the past two decades.

Last august, it was Randa and Ramsey’s turn in the spotlight….and the spotlight was shining bright that’s for sure. What an Ottawa wedding!!!! Modern yet traditional, fun and entertaining, sweet and special…Their wedding was is every way…like a fairy tale ! The bride was wearing a Vera Wang Dress ( the same wedding dress as in the movie Bride Wars with Kate Hudson and Anne Hathaway) and Gold Jimmy Choo shoes. The ceremony was at the Saints Peter & Paul church in Ottawa and their wedding planner was from Marry Me Productions. We did some photos at the “Tabaret Hall” at the University of Ottawa. The reception was at the wonderful Hilton Lac Leamy during “Les Grands Feux du Casino- Sounds of Light competition”. Have a look at this breathtaking Ottawa wedding!

Julia & Daniel – Engagement & Wedding

Wow, What a couple…what a wedding day.

Beautiful Julia, in every way, and her wonderful handsome husband Dan make quite a pair! We photographed their ‘E session” in our studio in Cumberland, Ontario a few weeks before the wedding… It’s great to photograph our couples before the BIG DAY … we get to know each other… and they know what to expect the day of the wedding in terms of posing…. We approached this engagement session with a bit of a fashion flare… it worked great with them.

A few weeks later, the wedding took place at Dan’s family cottage. A beautiful lake side property in near Lac Sainte-Marie, Quebec. What a great great event ! Everyone, including the bride and groom were relaxed, calm, smiling and very exited !!! …Just the way it should be at every wedding 🙂 In short… a perfect wedding! Thank you Julia and Dan for a wonderful day and for letting us share our love of photography with you. You are in every way perfect for each other!

Katrina & Mark – Ottawa Courtyard Wedding

Here is a look at a wedding Joelle and Guy photographed in May. It was a very early start at the grooms mom home first, then, at the brides home. Everybody was so nice, all smiles and the early morning photo sessions went very well! At around 9h30am, they were off to the Courtyard Restaurant for their ceremony. The room looked amazing as always and the officiant, Lynne Langille from “Exceptional Ceremonies” made it extra special. The photos were done on the market, around the courtyard and on York Street. They were so lucky because the rain was coming…..and did it ever….just when they were done :). Katrina and Mark are so sweet and kind to each other – they make the perfect couple and made the photo session look very easy! Have a look at a few images from their beautiful morning wedding and we wish Katrina and Mark all the happiness they deserve!

Melissa & Nicolas- May 2011-Ottawa Wedding Photography

Mel & Nicolas tied the knot in May 2011. The very “tall and beautiful couple” were awesome models! The camera loves them! Guy and I had photographed Mel’s family at our photography studio in Orleans. I remember the photo session so well, we were laughing and making jokes…what beautiful family with lot’s of kids! Well, a few years later, here we are photographing Mel’s wedding. The ceremony took place in Clarence Creek at “l’Église catholique Ste-Félicité.The church has big windows that make it nice and bright despite the rain. It was raining a lot as they walked down the aisle , so, we took the couple in a little stair case with a round window. The photos turned out so nice, that, we printed a 24×30 inch for our studio reception wall! They say rain on your wedding day is luck anyways, and it just makes us use different indoor locations that we would not find if it had been a sunny day 🙂 After the indoor photo session in the church, we took the couple to our studio in Cumberland, Ontario. We love using our indoor studio, especially for the families and bridal party, instead of going to a downtown indoor location with a lot of other weddings. Our studio location works well for East end weddings and was close to their reception venue: the Hammond Golf Course. Here are some highlights of Melissa and Nicolas’s wedding day!

Kris & Alyssa- Ottawa Courtyard Wedding

The sweetheart and the gentleman – We all fell in love with this wedding couple the moment we met them. Alyssa is a bundle of energy, beautiful personality with spontaneous burst out loud laughs and Kris, a wonderful, handsome guy who keeps it together very well with his calm, cool vibe. What a couple…and what a joy to photograph them. The day started at the Fairmont Chateau Laurier in the bridal suite. We love photographing the bride at this hotel because the natural light is always beautiful and the rooms look great on photos.

The walk from the Chateau Laurier to the Courtyard restaurant gave us amazing photo opportunities. The bridal party were having fun, the bride was dancing the street… Everyone was cheering!

The ceremony was held inside the Courtyard restaurant. This is a challenging spot for ceremony photos because it is very dark. We have to set up radio poppers to give us a little extra light! The wedding was beautiful!

The rain did not stop us from exploring the downtown spots around the Courtyard, 18 york and the By ward market. The rain gave us the saturation of colors and the beautiful directional light you see in the next images. The bride and groom were very good models!

Carley & Mat Jackson – Ottawa Wedding Photography

Weddings in Ottawa have a magical feeling, especially in the fall. The venues that Carley and Mat chose for their Ottawa wedding affair were amazing. They are such a sweet couple, and Carley was breathtaking in her dress. We did the pre wedding photographs at the Minto Suites Hotel , then, the wedding ceremony at the Notre Dame Cathedral Basilica. We always stay around the church property for photos after the wedding. It’s one of our favorite spots for family photos. Since it was a very late fall wedding and it was ” cool” outside, they rented the National Art Gallery for the wedding photography. The night ended at the Minto Suites Hotel for the reception. Beautiful day, beautiful couple….in short, we wish them a great life together 🙂

Tania & Francois – Ottawa Wedding photography

Wedding season is just around the corner! If you are an Ottawa soon to be bride and still haven’t booked your photograph yet, we still have a few dates available for the 2011 wedding season.

Here are some samples of a wedding photographed in Ottawa. Tania and Francois were the perfect wedding couple. They put their 100 % trust in us as wedding photographers and the results are outstanding. Joelle photographed this wedding along with her good friend and fellow Ottawa photographer Baz. The weather was great for an October wedding, the wedding party was crazy fun and the couple awesome… A wonderful wedding day in the capital!

We started our day at the groom house here in Orleans and then made our way to the mother of the bride’s house in the Gloucester area. The ceremony was held at the St Francois d’Assise church. We then re located to the downtown Ottawa byward market area for some family, wedding party and couple photos. The wedding party was great to work with and our couple was so down to earth! The night ended at the Hampton Inn in Ottawa. All the personal touches Tania and Francois added to their wedding day made this wedding so unique – the bride’s bright red shoes, the black feathers that were incorporated in the flower bouquets and in their table centerpiece and of course… Tania’s red gloves..

Fannie & Benoit -A Summer Wedding in Rockland, Ontario

Fannie & Benoit got married last summer in Rockland. It was a beautiful summer day and everything was perfect ( including the couple)! We covered two locations in the morning ( the groom’s parents home and the bride’s), then off to the church in Rockland. We did the photography session of the family and wedding party next to the church and took the couple to our outdoor estate studio in Cumberland for a little variety. Their reception was in Rockland at the “Chevalier de Colombs” reception Hall. The couple’s entrance in the hall was one of the most original/fun and entertaining we had ever seen! They rocked the hall…Here are a few photos of their memorable day!
