Ottawa Studio Family Photography

Mrs. Michaud and her two girls were funny, relaxed and very READY for their photography session. We photographed her oldest daughter Savanna when she was 16. Her photos were stunning, so stunning that we entered her close-up glamour image in photography competitions ( Professional Photographers of Canada and Ontario) . Now, it’s the girls that just want to have fun and have beautiful souvenirs. We love photographing this type of session because we can have fun and still get the job done. I have to say the funniest moments of the photo session was when Miki started giggling….and could not stop…ever:)

Three little miracles – Triplet baby photography – Ottawa

Three little miracles, Camille, Isabelle & Sophie are 7 weeks old today. Tiny feet, tiny hands, and already, big personalities. With baby photography, we develop a lot of patience in waiting for that perfect picture that will bring tears to new parent’s eyes. At this moment, we become fulfilled as artists and ,a normal day at the studio just became amazing… That’s what it’s all about!

Downtown Ottawa Couple Photography

Yes, it’s cold in Ottawa! Sometimes, to get that perfect photo, you have to tell yourself that the weather does not matter. Well, in this case, it was hot wherever Matthieu and Josée went. Joelle took these photos around the market and downtown Ottawa on a Saturday afternoon. We are booking on location engagement photos all year long and we still have Saturdays and week days available for winter sessions. We love to start the photo sessions in our studio and do close-up classic portraiture, then, off to the cold we go :). Here are some examples.

Sweet Sixteen Ottawa Photography

Beautiful Katii ! Sweet sixteen ! Put all this together and this is what you get 🙂 Katelyn saw a photo that my buddy, “fellow awesome photographer James Hodgins in Sudbury” you can connect to his BLOG here, did for a competition and fell in love with the idea of the girl and the lollipop. So, on her sixteeth birthday she did a trip to the hairdresser and arrived at our studio all pretty in pink. Joelle did a fabulous job at capturing Kate’s fun personality and beauty. Beautiful Ottawa Fall Wedding – Mike & Kelly

The Art Gallery of Ottawa is always an amazing place to host a wedding reception. Add a fun wedding party full of girls and boys that want to have fun, a couple in love and the results: another beautiful Ottawa wedding. Mike and Kelly were a joy to photograph. My assistant Brent Gervais and I had so much fun laughing with the family and wedding party , taking photos in the OC transpo bus, and with all the running around and excitement… breaking a flash ( oups! Brent) . Renting a bus is a great idea if you have a lot of out of town guests. The reception was at the National Gallery of Ottawa (one of my favorite spots for wedding photography). Have a look at a few highlights!

Studio Family Photography

Classic high key photography is timeless. Here are two examples of different studio lighting. The first image is with a soft box at F-11 and the fill at F-8. The second images is done using diffused window light with a bounce flash behind the window at f-9.5 and the fill at f5.6. This gives us a more dramatic light. We have only 3 months left to use this wonderful background on Youville Drive.
