The Rigley Family – Ottawa Children and Baby Photography
Family photography is what we do best! We love children and we love photographing families at our new estate studio. This blog post features the Rigley family; great clients of ours that got their three children photographed at one year old. The first two boys were photographed at our old portrait studio on Youville drive in Orleans, and, the last session was taken at our new estate studio in Cumberland. After the studio portrait session of their youngest child was finished, we took the opportunity to take their family portrait outdoors. The boys had so much fun feeding the fish and playing in the water …so it became the portrait their parents displayed in their home! The family portrait is so beautiful because of it’s candid nature that we opted to showcase it in Black and white! Here is a sneak peek at their family portrait session!

Baby & Family Photography studio in Ottawa Ontario
We first met Nancy and Johnny when we photographed their wedding in 2008. We printed an acrylic 10×10 flush mount album and entered it in the Professional Photographers Of Ontario competition in 2009. We won first place for the “best wedding album of the year in Ontario”. Since then, they’ve welcomed two beautiful baby boys into their family. Here is a look at the photos taken in our Ottawa “Cumberland” studio. We love to include the parents when we photograph new born babies and we also have many different props and settings to choose from… Here is a look at photos we did the salvati family!

Baby Photo Session with beautiful Adi !!!
We love photographing babies in our photography studio in Cumberland (Ottawa). They are so spontaneous and give me about 50 different expressions per minute. I can really tell a story with babies even in a studio environment. A typical session will last 1 to 1.5 hours. We love giving time for babies to get to know us and their new temporary play ground. We also give extra time for feedings, diaper changes and , well, ” temper adjustments”. Our baby portrait starter package is $245.00 and include 45 minutes in the studio, 2-8×10 portraits and a sheet of 8 wallets. Other packages are also available. Ottawa Family Photographer “On location” in St Lucia, Caribbean Islands
Cruising in the caribbean ocean can be the best vacation ever, especially if you are a photographer and are commissioned to photograph a destination wedding! Well, for Joelle, it did not stop there, she had to keep shooting. Gillian, Steve and and little Noah were part of the wedding party and took this opportunity to have their photo’s done in St Lucia. They asked a cab driver to bring them to a quiet beach with a lot of mature vegetation that provide a lot of shade…..mmmm, they ended up at the busiest beach with absolutely no shade 🙂 Well, the biggest challenge for a photographer is lighting. Early afternoon is not easy, but, we have to find ways to make every “on location” session work …and make it back to the ship on time:) Great job Jo!

Three little miracles – Triplet baby photography – Ottawa
Three little miracles, Camille, Isabelle & Sophie are 7 weeks old today. Tiny feet, tiny hands, and already, big personalities. With baby photography, we develop a lot of patience in waiting for that perfect picture that will bring tears to new parent’s eyes. At this moment, we become fulfilled as artists and ,a normal day at the studio just became amazing… That’s what it’s all about!

Lifestyle family and children photography- Ottawa Ontario
Emilie’s lifestyle photo book was delivered by purolator on December 24th,ouf!!! just in time for my Christmas gifts. Let’s just say this is the best present I ever gave my Mom and Dad. We were not even at the 5th page and the box of tissues was out and the emotion, smiles and tears of joy were flooding the room around the Christmas tree.
My job as a photographer is to capture the personality, innocence and beauty of a child and those candid unexpected moments as they unfolds. We are proud to introduce our “Lifestyle photo book packages” for 2010. The response has already been overwhelming and we have already been commissioned to photograph 2 “lifestyle family books” this spring. These sessions take at least 2.5 hours and include a studio and on location session ( preferably in and around your home) with 2 photographers ( Guy, joelle or Julie). It’s a Girl! Ottawa Studio Baby Photography
Here is another beautiful baby girl we photographed in our photo studio. We took her brothers photos at the same age a few years ago. The parents wanted to match the other background ( it was brown), so, I went shopping and found some brown fabric with an interesting texture. For the last photo, I used bamboo straws from “Micheals”, painted them brown and tied each end to make it look like a crib. Here are samples of the images the parents enlarged ( the last one is a beautiful wall size- it looks amazing)

Outdoor Children Photography – Ottawa Lifestyle sessions
This is a preview of a book we are designing for our new “Lifestyle family portrait sessions”. They include a two hour minimum photo session in our studio or at the location of your choice and a large 40 page coffee table book. These books tell a story, a little like this one we are creating. It’s the story of ” a day in the life of a three year old”. Our goal is to capture your child’s many expressions and true personality in a series of events and playtime.
