Tina and Mathieu’s wedding day was one of the most memorable for me. Some vendors and photographers in the wedding industry say that weddings are the same….well, I don’t feel that way. Every wedding is unique and it’s my job as a photographer to capture these unique and special moments throughout the day. This is exactly what I did for Tina and Mathieu’s wedding day and I had a blast! They are celebrating their one year anniversary this weekend and I wanted to show you some pages of their wedding album. I started the day at Mathieu’s parents house in Orleans and the photo session was fun and relaxed…The boys were playing pool and making jokes…I knew that they would be a very cool wedding party to photograph. Then, I got to the bride’s home and they were all ready for the bridal photo session. What a beautiful bride ! We did not have a lot of space, but it did not mater. She poses with such ease I though she had modeled before. Then we were waiting, waiting and waiting for the limo to get there…..and I kept thinking…how do we get 7 brides maids plus the bride to the church if the limo doesn’t come….. panic set in a little bit…and then, the limo showed up…oufffffff! She was one her way to get married!
The ceremony was at Paroissse Saint-François d’Assise, a beautiful church on Fairmont / Wellington street in Ottawa. After the group picture, we stayed in front of the church for some extra photos. The wedding party of 16 people got in the limo to go to Perth for the formal photography session….and guess what ? The limo does not start 🙁 I am a profesional photographer with 16 years of experience, traned to handle changes like this at the last minute, so, in my mind, there was no problem… I had it al planned to take photos of the families in front of the church, then, to take a walk with the couple and the wedding party and head for downtown, etc,…. Just when we were about to start, so did the limo….Oufffffff again!
I decided to ride in the limo with them and got crazy wedding party action photos… it was a great ride.
We got to the park in Perth, and it was breathtaking. I’m so glad we got there. We did the families, the wedding party and the lighting was at it’s best. The girls all took their shoes off to climb on a rock next to the water for the perfect wedding party photo. 20 minutes later, all the girls put their shoes back on except for the bride….Her wedding shoes had disappeared…WHAT? Can you believe that ! Someone stole her wedding shoes…I’ve never heard anything like this before. Tina is so easy going she just said, “The day must go on….can someone get me another pair of shoes!”
As we were taking the photos, they noticed two guys fishing and asked if they could borrow their fishing line for a few shots…. Not even 5 seconds after Mathieu put his line in, her caught a fish. We all laughed!
The reception was at the Temple Sugar Camp on Ferguson Falls Road in Lanark, Ontario. Another beautiful setting for a few more photos and then, party time! What a great wedding…I did not want it to end. Tina and Matt, I wish you all the best! You are sooooooo perfect for each other.

Great set of shots. I especially love the shots in the church. Specifically the one from the back….bit of an HDR.
