Kerie and Ray wanted some nice couple photos to celebrate their time together as husband and wife. After a consultation to design the portrait session, we decided that a mix of classic portraiture with a modern flare was the studio look they wanted. For the outdoor photo session, they opted for a more natural and freestyle approach. To achieve this look, we still direct. It’s almost like on a movie set were we position them in the best light with the perfect background and give them instructions to follow. Once we say 1,2,3 action…. Its up to them to talk, laugh walk and interact. This technique creates wonderful natural looks with guarantied amazing results. Summer season is in full force already and we hear wedding bells every weekend!!!! To all our couples getting married this season, do not forget to come early for your couple engagement session at our studio. To every other couple, we are busy with weddings on weekend, but, we can photograph you from Tuesdays to Fridays, and, late afternoon and evenings are best to match the kind of look you see below!

Here is a session we took a few years back of Kim and John’s engagement. Looking at these photos gives me hope that spring will eventually come..LOL. We photographed their engagement pics in downtown Ottawa, at Major hill’s park and at the “Oh So Good” amazing desserts restaurant on the market. We hope to see greenery in this nation’s capital really soon. The winter has been very long. Their love story began with a chance encounter in 2006 at the end of high school. It was love at first sight!!! Love-as it turns out, works in mysterious and unexpected ways. After eagerly exchanging phone numbers, Miguel took over 3 weeks to follow up – a period that felt like an eternity to Caroline. They grew up on opposite sides of Ottawa’s East End in what remains a very tight-knit francophone community. Since their encounter over 8 years ago, Miguel and Caroline have grown together to become fearless, free-minded adults who despite their strong individuality and style, remain firmly connected to each other and their Eastern Ottawa roots. Miguel proposed to Caroline at sunset on Prince Edward Island’s Brackley Beach. They are now in the process of planning their 2016 wedding at the Nature Museum in Ottawa, Ontario.
