Bridal Boudoir Photography – Ottawa Boudoir Wedding Photographers

Here is a new concept we are exploring at our studio….Bridal Boudoir Photography… For all those ladies getting married soon, this is the perfect wedding day gift. To make this kind of session work, you need all your wedding accessories ( ex: jewelry, garter, engagement ring, wedding veil, shoes, hair clip, and of course…. lingerie…You can even bring your wedding dress because we can use it as a prop or a background. The boudoir sessions are photographed at our Cumberland (Ottawa East) studio. Our goal is to make you relax as soon as you walk in our cozy home studio environment ( we have plenty of chocolate and wine if that’s what it takes!) We want you to feel comfortable, have fun, look like a million dollars and feel like it too. We welcome your ideas, but, if you want us to take care of everything, we can. We also direct and show you all the poses that we tailor to your body type. Music is a big part of these photo sessions and you are welcome to bring your own on your iPod if you like. 50th anniversary – renewing of vows – M &Mrs Pomerleau

Here is a look at a couple’s 50 th wedding anniversary. M & Mrs Pomerleau celebrated their 50 year mariage by bringing their family for a portrait session at our ourdoor studio in Cumberland. We were blessed with a beautiful summer day ! The kids had a blast feeding the fish, and playing around the pond while we photographed each family. We finished with the couple as their family made their way to the reception for the renewing of their wedding vows. Here is a look at a few highlights of their photo session!

Swat Police Portrait Photo Session – Ottawa Photography

Here is a sneak peek at a swat photo shoot. Motivation to create something unique often comes from an idea a client has. In this case, this clients vision was difficult to understand at first since we could not go on the field, but the more we talked about this project, the more we saw his vision. Understanding what a client wants is the key to creating something outstanding to them…and is it so rewarding to us as photographers. In this swat police portrait photo shoot, we incorporated our signature style of lighting to create mood and to focus on specific swat uniform parts and accessories. For the photo session outdoors, we used natural light. We shot this in late fall ( thanks to our clients recommendation)! The trees were almost bare creating a perfect backdrop for this type of environmental photography. I am so happy we could create artistic imagery and make each portrait storytelling and powerful. Wish you could all see the hard cover book printed on metallic paper, it is outstanding! Enjoy…

Hummingbird MediSPA 2012 Calendar – Ottawa Pin-up Photography

Put a bunch of girls together from a spa, hair salon and photography studio…and what do you get……. THE NEW 2012 Hummingbird CALENDAR !!!!!

ok, sorry , I forget about the only “Guy” part of the photo shoot…my husband GUY…. who had a blast by the way!…

This concept came together when “laser Julie” and me ” photo Julie” brainstormed together about what this years calendar theme should be about…..and since boudoir and pin-up’s are making a comeback, we thought…. why not !!!! ( This is the third year that Studio GR Martin and hummingbirdMediSpa collaborate to make a calendar, it is an ongoing fun adventure :))

The photo session took place at our Cumberland, Ontario photography studio. Guy and I handled the photography, the girls from Liaison hair studio did the hair and makeup, and laser Julie “our lovely JUNE pin-up” made sure everything ran smoothly….. ( Thanks Jul’s for all your help!). And please note that the pin-up girls are not professional models, they are all employees from the HummingbirdMEDISPA!

The calendar will be HOT of the press ( that is the SOTEK Graphics press BTW, a great printing company located in Ottawa) and for sale next week at all the 8 Hummingbird locations in Ottawa! Ottawa Portrait Photographers – CD cover, music artist portfolio

Here are a few photos from ROMY’s music CD portfolio’s session! What a lovely, talented & beautiful girl. Her CD is coming out soon and we did this photo session to promote her web page / facebook page and new release CD. This portfolio was photographed in our Ottawa East end studio located at 2080 Old Montreal Road. We mixed window light and flash for the indoor photos and then, took photos around the pond at our outdoor portrait studio. We love the results and think Romy’s photos are absolutely fabulous… I’ll post some more soon because Guy and I just had a blast photographing her…and there are a lot more we want to share with you…

Ottawa Business Studio Portrait Photography

Here is a look at a business portrait done in our studio located at 2080 Old Montreal Road in Ottawa. This falls under the business – corporate category, but, I have to admit with a beautiful woman like Stephanie, we also did a little more portrait work as a gift for her husband…

Ottawa children Fall Photography – Session d’enfants en Automne

Ottawa Pin-up Girls / Glamour Photography

Pin-up photography is back – and in a very big way! This type of boudoir / glamour photography is so fun to do wether you are in front and behind the camera. It’s all about fantasy, fun, interaction, sexiness and role playing! The fun is in the preparation and the shopping as much as the photography session. We have some props at our studio, but, nothing beats you bringing something old and vintage found in your grandparents basements or some old roller skates or even tools from your fathers garage 🙂 ( just don’t tell him what it’s for, lol).
