Stephanie and Tarik were married last weekend in a beautiful ceremony at Ottawa’s most famous church, the Saint Patrick’s Basilica. Prior to the wedding day, we love to photograph each couple and learn what they like, how they interact with each other in front of the camera and most of all, with us! We spend a lot of time with them on one of the most important day of their lives, so, the engagement session is a very important and we recommend that every engaged couple take advantage of this free gift! We love relaxed and unposed moments but never forget to mix the new style of photography with our specialty: classic portraiture. Mastering the art of studio lighting and posing are essential for photographers ; therefore creating a timeless image that will stand the test of time and be cherished for generations to come.

Stephanie & Doug said I do on a warm sunny afternoon in an outdoor ceremony you see in movies! The day started with the bride and her entourage in the bridal suite. All the beautiful hair and makeup was done by Melissa Robert. Stephanie looked radiant in her dress by Maggie Sottero. Her bubbly personality, her beauty and her great attitude made the bridal session fun and relaxing. We took photos all around the auberge with her family and friends. We then took some time to photograph the groom and his family and friends before the ceremony.
The lovely country wedding ceremony was preformed by the most professional and charming wedding officiant ,Lynne Langille from Exceptional Ceremonies. She even took the time to make it “personal” by sharing the couple’s journey from the time they met (this part was really funny and most entertaining) to the birth of their beautiful baby girl Ashley! The groom, looked especially charming with Ashley in his arms, waiting for his bride to come down the aisle. We loved working with this couple! Doug has an amazing sense of humor and made us laugh all day! Doug and Stephanie compliment each other so well, they are really a perfect match. I loved watching them interact during the portrait session. We were also very impressed by the staff at the Auberge des Gallant. If you are planning a country style wedding outside of Ottawa on the Quebec side, then, Auberge des Gallant will not disappoint. The appetizers were amazing and the service was impeccable. We took the bridal party to the Botanical gardens located on the other side of their property ( a 2 minute limo ride + 5 minute walk ) and the auberge des gallant staff arrived 15 minutes later with drinks, water and appetizers for everyone… WOW! I have never seen this kind of service by a reception venue before. After the wedding portrait session, Doug and Stephanie made their grand entrance “officially” as husband and wife…What a beautiful day! Here are a few highlights we wanted to share with you.

Paul Lewandowski’s new website is very impressive, professional and full of great information if you are looking for a criminal lawyer. He came to us with a concept and ideas of what he wanted his website to look like. During the consultation, we all gave our creative ideas and brainstormed together. With a clear vision of what we wanted as a final product, the portrait session lasted three hours. We started in our indoor portrait studio in Cumberland Ontario, and the rest of the session took place at these Ottawa locations: the ByWard Market, Tabaret Hall at the Ottawa University campus, the Fairmont Chateau Laurier and The Ottawa City Hall located at 10 Laurier Avenue West in Ottawa. Guy and I love creating powerful corporate images on location. Our city is beautiful and the portrait opportunities are endless. We accomplished our goal and created artistic business portraits for this team of lawyers!

Stephanie and Mark were a great couple to photograph. We chose the candid, modern, unposed approach as it suited their personality and style. Here is a little story of how they met! “We met at hope volley ball 3 years ago. He offered to helped me carry my cooler. Luckily he was friends with a bunch of my friends so we where able to hang out a few more times after that. We quickly became friends, eventually best friends. We soon realized we wanted a lot of the same things in life. ( big family, travel, goals, and dreams). Our lives are full of ups and downs but we wouldn’t change it for a second because we have each other.”
They had a beautiful wedding August 4th and we can’t wait to post images of their wedding day! Until then, here is a look at their engagement photo session done in our indoor and outdoor studio in Cumberland, Ontario!

Everything started at Carleton university in 2008 for this couple! The bride explains how they met” It was a first day of a school and we were both in our 3rd year of engineering, Yashar was with his friends (who I knew too) when I joined them to go to the library. There was something there…..we were walking and talking and we had no idea we were already in the library…time just stood still, it was a magical moment. In February 2010, at a cozy restaurant in Old Montreal, he proposed. It was so perfect and I could not stop crying, I was so happy that although it was cold and snowy I could walk in my high heels and thin jacket without complaining:). That spring, we both graduated together from the Engineering program. After he finished his Master’s degree, we got married!”
This is a wonderful, beautiful, smart couple meant to be together. We created amazing images with them during their engagement session and their wedding. Here is what the bride has to say about us:” We are so happy and special thanks to all of you, you are the best photographers ever, and we really mean it, you have no idea how much you guys made ourselves and our family happy and proud with your great job! Here is a look at Amina’s modeling portfolio debut! She is a beautiful girl with a great sense of humor! We photographed her a few years back with her family and I remember she did not really like the camera then….What a difference a few years makes!!!! She loves that camera now and the camera loves her. She knows how to move and pose naturally and we found it easy to guide her and pose her. She studies theater at Ecole Secondaire De La Salle in Ottawa, Ontario. At her young age, she is already showing great acting skills. We wish her good luck in her acting\modeling career!

Every 4 to 6 months, we take more photos of Chloé and her sister for a book project! Mom and Dad want to have a book featuring their two daughters and family! This has been an ongoing project since they were babies that is scheduled to be finished at the end of this year. Here is a look at Chloé’s 5 years old mini session taken at our outdoor and indoor studio in Cumberland ( Ottawa) , Ontario
When Christine and Damien met over 5 years ago, it was love at first sight. Damien was an avid fisherman and loved the outdoors, and Christine was a city girl….. you know what they say! Opposites always attract. On their first date, Damien took Christine to his cottage. The most romantic and perfect setting was at the rendez-vous; a sunset, a beach and of course…a first kiss. Years later, at sunset, Damien surprised Christine by proposing, down on one knee, at that same exact location.
Christine and Damien got married on June 9th, 2012 at Le Belvédère, a new wedding, meeting and specials events center located thirty minutes north of Ottawa, just outside of Wakefield Quebec. They planned their wedding around their love of nature and the beautiful scenery overlooking the Gatineau parks! The ceremony was breathtaking! As a photographer, I totally recommend this venue. The wedding party was amazing, everyone laughed and we had a blast during the photo shot at the red covered bridge and then, driving around wakefield to find a dock. What an adventure. Their grand entrance was like one in the movies- they had their fist dance surrounded by all their guests while a pitch perfect singer (and friend of the couple) interpreted the classic love song “At Last” from Etta James… Photographing Christine and Damien’s wedding was a real treat. Their beauty, personality and love for each other was effortlessly captured through the lens making this wedding, one to remember!
