You may have noticed that we have two Instagram accounts. Although the purpose is not as important to us now, it did at the time when we created our accounts. We love a nicely curated Instagram account but we noticed that since our main Instagram account mostly consists of light and airy images, some of our darker images weren’t being shared! We essentially had a hard time mixing our darker images with our light and airy images. So we created two Instagram accounts to accentuate both styles; one designated to our light & pastel images and a second account for our darker images.
This engagement shoot is a perfect example of how we typically achieve both looks when we photograph our clients. Whether it comes to family sessions, engagement sessions, portrait sessions or weddings, we will typically explore both options. We love our bright, soft and airy-feel signature images, however, we equally love to take advantage of the dramatic lighting by exposing for the low lights.
We often feel an internal struggle to stick to one look and brand ourselves as “one style” but the reality is that we truly enjoy capturing both looks.
