Persian Wedding Photography in Ottawa -Mojgan & Pejman

Here is a look at another wedding in downtown Ottawa! First we did an engagement session at our outdoor studio in Cumberland. We do table cards with the login information so the guests can view the wedding images on line. Then, it’s wedding day photography time. What can I say about this couple…there are not enough words…..they are great, wonderful people. Both doctors, they are the nicest, most polite, beautiful people I have met in a long time. They have a great sense of humour and most of all, we had so much fun together…. Guy and I had them laughing, running, climbing stuff, turning, jumping…you name it! We went to the experimental farm for the formal wedding photos…There’s nothing this couple would not do for a great photo:) The Persian ceremony was at the Fairmont Chateau Laurier in Ottawa. Then, we walked from the Fairmount , down Wellington street to the stair case that goes down to the Rideau Canal Locks- that was the highlight of my day as a wedding photographer…. I am working on their 12×16 metallic cover wedding album right now and I just though I would post a few highlights of the day. Here is a look at some of their wedding photos!

Family Photography at our Cumberland Studio

Last year I posted images of Celine’s photo session with her daughter taken around our Pond. She came back this year to take new photos and we did them in our indoor photo studio. I wanted to include again the ones from last year to show you the difference with the same client between the indoor and outdoor studio.

Randa & Ramsey – Ottawa Engagement and Rahal family Photography

Here is a look at Randa and Ramsey’s engagement photo session taken at our outdoor studio in Cumberland ( Ottawa), Ontario. They were married two days ago and I can’t wait to post some hightlights of their wedding photos taken at the Hilton Lac Leamy.

This style of couple photography is fun to do because we mix studio and outdoor photography to give more variety. It’s a good thing our indoor studio is a few steps from our pond because it must have been around 38 degrees during the photo session… They are a charm to photograph and Randa is a pro at knowing what to do in front of the camera! here is a look at their session.

Lachapelle family Photography – Ottawa outdoor studio

It’s this time of year again! Our outdoor studio is ready, almost every plant survived the long winter , did I say …long winter… We are now booking family sessions in June, Tuesday to Friday, 9h30 am to 5h30 pm, Wednesday nights until 8h00 PM and we still have a few opening for Saturday, june 18th. We also have a few Saturdays available in July and august. Call us at 613-824-8525 for more information.

I wanted to highlight a family session taken last year at our outdoor studio in Cumberland, Ontario. The Lachapelle family decided to dress in casual clothing with white tops and jeans, which are great for outdoor photos. They were a joy to photograph. We laughed a lot and took the time to photograph each family, kids, siblings and grandparents. The results were amazing! A typical family session lasts about 1.5 hours. On location freestyle/candid family Photography in Ottawa

Time for a family portrait update! It’s time to book your outdoor portrait photo session anywhere in Ottawa or your prefered destination… We travel!

Hayfa and Guy’s portrait session was taken at the home/farm just outside of Ottawa. We also did a few photos at our outdoor portrait studio in Cumberland. These sessions are at least two hours and come with a 8.5×11 coffee table book. They are usually designed for at least 40 sides, so, many images and different scenario’s are needed to make these books a success. We had so much fun taking pictures in their home and around their property. They have a beautiful piece of land for outdoor photography. They have animals, a tree house, a pond and even an area designated to make maple sirup. Their two daughters are beautiful and very fun to photograph. What made this portrait session so much fun is that we laughed, and laughed and laughed ( and the great BBQ of course)!!! Here are some highlights of their portrait session

Miller Family – Ottawa family photography

It’s dosen’t really look like spring yet, but, the snow will finaly melt soon ( we hope), because we already have families booked for outdoor sessions at our studio. This is an example of the family photos we do around the pond. Nicole and Greg were the first at our studio to have a 24×36 wall size printed from our first canon 10D digital camera. Now, 10 years later, they came back for an ” update” . They are a wonderful ” close” family and we always have fun photographing them. Refering to the first session at the museum of civilisation ( see the photo at the bottom of the post) their daughter Emily took a photo of my husband Guy during the photoshoot with my camera. It’s a great photo of Guy with an umbrella covering his Mamiya RZ67, loking up at the sky waiting for the rain to stop. I still have this 8×10 in my room. Great job Emily! ( I’ll try to find it and post it soon)

Ryan Family – Ottawa family outdoor photography

December was a busy month getting all the photos printed in time for christmas! We printed, and printed and printed…and spent hours preparing and retouching each image individually. No detail is overlooked ! Looking back on all the photos I printed, I notice I have a lot more blog posts to do and I am sooooooo behind….

We already have bookings for family photos this summer and it made me think of all the photos we created that I did not have time to show you. Kim Ryan made sure the whole family would be there at the time of this photo session. This took a lot of planning and many months of phone calls and consultations, but, she made it happen. Photographed at our beautiful outdoor studio in Cumberland, Ontario, this family demonstrated a classic example of the types of sessions we love to do. The large group, the immediate family, the grand-parents and each individual family and their kids.And above all, we have a lot of fun creating it 🙂 Plan to be here for a good 1h30 to 2 hrs because the pond and waterfall setting created a wonderful photographic experience and each family gets to enjoy the scenery while waiting for their turn. Large Group Family Photography in Ottawa

Here is a look at a family session photographed in December in our studio. The Tannis family were photographed 10 years ago at our old studio on Youville drive and they were ready for an update. Thanks to Sonia, (who made this possible even with all the different schedules)….we got the job done! A beautiful 24×36 inch framed canvas was delivered just on time for Christmas!

We can accommodate large groups ( up to approx. 45 people). We then photograph the immediate family, the grandparents (as a couple or with their grand children) and each individual family. A session will last from 1 to 2 hours. For more information, call us at 613-824-8525.

Ottawa Portrait Photography – The Connoly sisters

Christine & Kathleen Connolly were photographed at our outdoor studio in Ottawa ( Cumberland, Ontario) and in a nearby field. We’ve been taking their photos for at least 12 years with the ” Ecole de danse louise” . I used to teach them dance a long time ago and now, they are both dance teachers at that school ( and very good ones might I add :)). Mom and Dad wanted photos of the girls on their walls and that’s our specialty! The photos are mounted and laminated on a acid free ragmat board and then laminated and textures to give it a rich canvas look. We then framed them in a classic dark/brown moulding with a golden undertone… Beautiful! Have a look at some images from the photo shot!
