We had so much fun downtown Ottawa with this American girl !!! After studying in Canada and graduating from High school, we had to come up with great images to showcase of our Nations Capital! Dominique is a rising star model from Angie’s Model & Talent International located in Ottawa. She wanted to add some new images to her already impressive portfolio. Beautiful Dedra… We have had the great pleasure of photographing Dedra ever since she started dancing when she was a little girl…..And this girl can dance….she is incredible. She is now in Toronto, Ontario studding dance and wanted to work on her portfolio images. We had a lovely photo session at our photography studio in Cumberland, Ontario. We went from natural light to flash, changes set-up many times and just had fun. Since she can move so well, we elaborated on her posing skills and incorporated some dance moves in her portrait session. Here are some highlights of the photo session.

Let’s just say Jessica has all the right moves! She’s beautiful, smart, funny, mature and her personality makes her photos shine! She knows what to do and when to do it in front of the camera. It’s was a wonderful experience to photograph her in our Ottawa ( Cumberland) photo studio and we wish her a lot of luck with her modeling career. Here is what Jessica had to say:
“When I was 13 I got noticed by an agency and they were ready to give me a scholarship because of the potential they saw in me but my parents thought that I was too young and I should have fun and not always be worried with adult stuff so the years went on and I’ve always thought that I would never have a chance like that ever again.
On my 17th birthday, my parents decided to give me a photo shoot at G.R. Martin photography studio. At first we agreed on a 45 min session and a couple of picture but it turned into a few hours and a whole album. The photographers (Guy, Julie and Joelle) reminded me that I have a lot of potential and that I should contact modeling agencies to get started in that field. I thought that was very flattering but didn’t put much effort into it. A month later, as I’m walking through the pharmacy, I get stopped by the owner of a Models International Management (Sophie) who tells me I she thinks I should enter this contest. At that point I just thought it was just one of those contests that you enter and then forget about. A month later I get a call that they want to see me at the agency where they announced I was the winner of the contest. I won a scholarship of $1,500.00 and a basket full of Benefit products. I am now at the beginning of my 18 week program and absolutely excited to see where this will bring me.

We love to do these kinds of photo sessions and we never get enough of them. Beautiful Katii ! Sweet sixteen ! Put all this together and this is what you get 🙂 Katelyn saw a photo that my buddy, “fellow awesome photographer James Hodgins in Sudbury” you can connect to his BLOG here, did for a competition and fell in love with the idea of the girl and the lollipop. So, on her sixteeth birthday she did a trip to the hairdresser and arrived at our studio all pretty in pink. Joelle did a fabulous job at capturing Kate’s fun personality and beauty. To thank her for doing such a good job and having wonderful work ethics, Joelle offered her a photo shoot. (To become a photographer, you have to learn to be in front of the camera as much as being behind it). This photo session was taken on location at a Stable.

Kim and Matt are good friends of ours. We wanted to photograph them in a candid and relax environment (like most men, Matt was a little bit nervous about this photo shoot ;)). A big part of our job as professional photographers is to create a pleasant environment in order to put our clients at ease. These photos were taken along the aviation parkway, Ottawa East.
