Ottawa Wedding – Stephanie & Shane’s wedding Day

Stephanie & Shane got married on a Friday in July and Joelle and I had the honor of photographing their special day. We love to photograph engagement session around Ottawa because it’s a great way to get to know our couples better before the wedding…but, that special spark ignites the day of the wedding 🙂

Shane got right into his photo session ( with the help of his groomsmen of course – let’s say some of them where really into it, it was great!) Then, we went to the brides home, and Steph was sooooooooooooo comfortable in front of the camera ( This bride can move :)) Stephanie is our model bride of the year ! She gave us so many different expressions per minute and moved like she had done photo sessions all her life.

The day was perfect, and the bride and groom were perfect for each other! We had a blast photographing them and their wedding party at the National gallery of canada. After the wedding ceremony at the Notre-Dame Cathedral Basilica, we walked around the By-ward market. We made our way to the reception at the Fairmont Chateau Laurier. Love, laughter & Wet Paint – Ottawa Couple/Teen Photography

When Carole called us to say that her daughter Kate and her friend Diarmuid ( who is visiting from Dublan Ireland) wanted a different kind of photo session, I did not know it would lead to this fun, candid, young & free spirited photo session… Ironicly, I had just finished painting the high key section of our new indoor studio the day before; so, we had to line it up with plastic and tarps all over again. It was so fun to start with a plain white canvas and let them go crazy with the paint fight. We all had fun getting our hands dirty and most of all, the clients had exactly what they wanted. Kate and Diarmuid were so cute, full of expression and very natural in front of the camera. We used the natural light from our two big windows and let the sun shine on the couple to create a more dramatic effect. The clean up was a little messy, but totally worth it. Here are some highlights of the photo session.

Girls, Make-up, Fashion & Accessories

We love to do these kinds of photo sessions and we never get enough of them. So, get your girlfriends together for an afternoon of fun, glamour, make-up, fashion and photography…. and…don’t forget the accessories. Most of the fashion head bands these girls are wearing were designed by our very own photographer Joelle Martin with the help of her mom Danielle. They complement summer dresses, evening gowns and look great on photos!

Juliana and John’s Wedding – Ottawa

Juliana and John’s wedding photos were taken in downtown ottawa. It was a very wonderfull and “very hot” summer day in July. The warm weather did not stop the photo session….we just walked a little slower between the Notre Dame Cathedral Basilica and the Fairmont Château Laurier… Elegance, love and beauty were at the rendez-vous! Juliana and John had a wonderful picture perfect wedding day .

Baptism Photography at Ottawa’s Greek Orthodox Church

A beautiful church and an amazing loving family are the perfect recipe for great baptism photos. Eva and Elias commissioned us to photograph their daughters baptism portraits at the Greek Orthodox Church on 1315 Prince of Wales Drive in Ottawa. WOW! Baby Photo Session with beautiful Adi !!!

We love photographing babies in our photography studio in Cumberland (Ottawa). They are so spontaneous and give me about 50 different expressions per minute. I can really tell a story with babies even in a studio environment. A typical session will last 1 to 1.5 hours. We love giving time for babies to get to know us and their new temporary play ground. We also give extra time for feedings, diaper changes and , well, ” temper adjustments”. Our baby portrait starter package is $245.00 and include 45 minutes in the studio, 2-8×10 portraits and a sheet of 8 wallets. Other packages are also available. Ottawa Wedding Photography -Marc & Victoria

Victoria and Marc came all the way from Vancouver to get married in Ottawa. They are a kind, beautiful, and complete each other so well. We were blessed with great ” weather” timing on their wedding day. During the photo session in the morning, it was raining so hard we were planning an indoor photo session. Then, like magic, the rain stopped during the ceremony and we enjoyed a great afternoon of photography in downtown Ottawa! It was perfect…just like Victoria is for Marc and Marc is for Victoria :). I first met the Kerba family when I photographed their daughters wedding and now, it was Marc’s turn. It’s so great to have the privilege to photograph a second wedding in a family!

We started the photo session in the morning at the Ottawa Marriott Hotel on Kent street. Then, the ceremony was at Ottawa’s St. Andrew’s Presbyterian Church (one of the only church in Ottawa that don’t allow photography during the ceremony, so, you have to recreate the exchange of the vows after…unless you are blessed with a” low light silent canon camera” :)). The family photos were done outside the church and then, we went for a walk downtown Ottawa and went to the museum of Civilisation in Gatineau for the couple’s photos. We finished the day at the Marriot Hotel for the reception in the Victoria Ballroom.

Outdoor Family Photography
