Ottawa Fall Family Session
Clients often ask us “when is a good time/age for family photos?” We always tell them “it’s always a good time!” With the beat of life being as hectic as it is these days, families have so much going on that often, taking a moment to capture important milestones may get put on the back burner.
This beautiful family came to us over the fall for their outdoor family session and we enjoyed every moment with them! We are so glad we were able to capture these beautiful family photos before their son sprouts up to six feet tall and refuses to cuddle with his younger sister for a photo. Lol! Because, as we all know, life happens in the blink of an eye !

E & D’s Ottawa Engagement Session
You may have noticed that we have two Instagram accounts. Although the purpose is not as important to us now, it did at the time when we created our accounts. We love a nicely curated Instagram account but we noticed that since our main Instagram account mostly consists of light and airy images, some of our darker images weren’t being shared! We essentially had a hard time mixing our darker images with our light and airy images. So we created two Instagram accounts to accentuate both styles; one designated to our light & pastel images and a second account for our darker images.
This engagement shoot is a perfect example of how we typically achieve both looks when we photograph our clients. Whether it comes to family sessions, engagement sessions, portrait sessions or weddings, we will typically explore both options. We love our bright, soft and airy-feel signature images, however, we equally love to take advantage of the dramatic lighting by exposing for the low lights.
We often feel an internal struggle to stick to one look and brand ourselves as “one style” but the reality is that we truly enjoy capturing both looks.

Studio Lifestyle Family Session
This little cutie is what we now refer to as a “Covid baby”! Yes, he was born during the Covid19 pandemic when lock-downs didn’t allow families to come in with their newborn for baby sessions. By the time the restrictions eased, this little guy no longer fit in our newborn props. His big sister however, had to test our props and managed to squeeze herself in our newborn Moses basket. Although our focus was on him and family photos, this little beauty certainly stole the show! What else are big sisters there for ?

Let’s celebrate and empower women in business! We had the opportunity to photograph this amazing soul and was so inspired by her courage, her tenacity, her energy and her creativity; oh, and we can not forget to mention her impeccable sense of style!
We first captured these images of Jessica Houle when she was at the earlier stage of innovating her new product : All In Order. She has created an innovative way for us to organize all our important documents; making it easy for loved ones to find our most important and treasured information when needed. Her product consists of a beautiful, slick black, Legacy Box which facilitates the daunting task of organizing our most significant documents such as will(s), property details, important contracts, etc..

MEGAN & DON – Le Belvédère Wedding
Like many couples, Megan & Don’s wedding plans were impacted by Covid19 but postponing to next summer wasn’t an option! Their goal of being united was the priority and with it came their willingness to adjust their expectations.
They initially had their hearts set on a early summer wedding at the Belvedere in Wakefield, QC but they quickly realized that their wedding would require being slightly postponed to the early fall of 2020. Lucky for them, they managed to secure a back up date with the Belvédère in September 2020.
Megan got ready in the Garden House which is foot steps away from the Belvédère’s main wedding venue. This beautiful light and airy home features an abundant of natural light, along with makeup and hair stations, a fully equipped kitchen and a large cozy living room. Don opted to get ready in the main cottage on site, which is equally as beautiful and a pleasure to photograph. Another great thing about Le Belvédère is they are constantly updating their facilities and transforming them in to photo-friendly environments. To our surprise, the main cottage’s furniture had all been updated and everything looked great. The consistency in style and ambiance between their different facilities makes for a cohesive look throughout the wedding day. It is always a joy for us to capture our couple’s Belvédère weddings! We love challenging ourselves to discover new angles and photo opportunities, making sure we offer every couple a unique wedding day photography coverage.
Their ceremony was held outside, featuring the classic Le Belvédère view and amenities and the guests cried, cheered and smiled with joy as Megan and Don tied the knot. Social distancing was full effect, tears of joy were shed, words of wisdom and love were shared, masks were worn; a true 2020 pandemic wedding!
As we all adjust to the new “normal”, Megan and Don’s wedding is a perfect example that having a pandemic wedding doesn’t mean compromising on picture perfect!

CHANIQUA & NAWAZ – DOMAINE PERRAULT WINERY ENGAGEMENT SESSION
Featuring this beautiful couple on our blog today as they were supposed to say I do at the Fairmont Chateau Laurier.
Covid-19 has greatly impacted our wedding season but we can’t wait to photograph their wedding in 2021.
Our heart goes out to all our 2020 couples, we will all get through this. ♡
Chaniqua is a Bachelor/Bachelorette fan and she fell in love with Lauren Bushnell and Ben Higgin’s winery engagement session.
As Bachelor/Bachelorette fans ourselves we knew exactly what style she had in mind. Domaine Perrault is a beautiful winery location in Navan, just 15 minutes from Orleans or 30 minutes from downtown Ottawa.
Domaine Perrault Winery generously allowed us on their grounds so we could create and capture Chaniqua and Nawaz’s vision. This location offered so many different backgrounds for us to use.

Courtney & Jason’s Fall engagement session
Today would of been Courtney and Jason’s wedding day at Stonefields. Like many couples they’ve had to adjust their expectation and vision
and postpone their big day due to the pandemic. We know they will come out stronger and their love will shine even brighter a year from now.
Although we have to wait another year to photograph their special day, we couldn’t wait to show you their engagement session captured last fall at our estate studio in Cumberland.

Eveline Christian Say I Do at Le Belvedere
Eveline and Chris said I do at Le Belvedere back in July.
They both got ready at the Belvedere’s own onsite accommodation, only a short walk from the ceremony and reception site.
The Guesthouse is perfect for those light and airy photos all brides dream of. This guesthouse has enough room to accommodate a large group, they were 16 people in their wedding party alone!
Before the ceremony, they decided to have an intimate first look in the forest and reading their vows to each other. We absolutely loved this idea!
The beautiful bouquets and all floral arrangements are by Love In Bloom.
She got her breathtaking Blue by Enzoani dress from Adamyk Bridal in Ottawa.
We also got to work closely with Matt & Kat Films, who are amazing at what they do! Check out the video here.
